Floods, rain, and a growing tree canopy
Hollow Run, a creek that feeds the river, cuts through the middle of Woodstock, and its floodplain covers many parcels with homes and businesses on them. That comes from the Town's 2025 Comprehensive Plan, which also records the storm of July 13, 2015: almost four inches of rain in three hours, with many historic buildings affected by the flooding.
The same plan reports that the town's tree canopy grew from 18.4% in 2011 to 23.4% in 2022, about 571 acres, and that Woodstock has “a high stock of mature trees.” Add roughly 37 inches of rain a year and hot, humid summers, and that is the weather the town's siding, brick, and stone sit in.
Older houses here are built from more than vinyl. The 1995 National Register nomination for the historic district lists limestone foundations, weatherboard and brick walls, and tin roofs. Woodstock has no historic district design guidelines yet; the plan only lists them as something to explore, so there is no local cleaning rule to quote. The nomination also notes several early log houses hidden under weatherboard, and one whose owner pulled the boards off to show the logs again.

A town of renters, townhouses, and apartments
A 2025 housing study for Shenandoah County and Woodstock, by its own count, puts 54% of Woodstock households in rentals and 46% in homes they own. Across the county, the study finds it runs the other way, with 72% owners. The Town's plan puts Woodstock at roughly 2,331 housing units, including about 430 townhomes and 441 apartments.
That means many Woodstock walls belong to a landlord or a management company rather than the people living behind them. We take on that work directly with property managers. Breezeways, stairwells, and apartment siding, or a whole row of townhouses, can go on a recurring schedule set by the property, with the bill invoiced to the business.
Townhouse patios and the driveways out front get a surface cleaner.

Main Street storefronts, the Reservoir Road exit, and fleets
The historic district runs along a mile of Main Street, the old Valley Turnpike, and most of its buildings sit directly against the street. The Town's plan keeps its Façade Renew Grant program going to encourage investment downtown. Out at the I-81 exit on Reservoir Road, chain restaurants, hotels, and big-box stores stay open long hours.
In and around Woodstock, the trucks we wash right on their own lots include postal delivery fleets at the Woodstock, Strasburg, Middletown, and Maurertown post offices. We'll also wash semis, box trucks, buses, trailers, and equipment on your yard or lot. We also wash brick storefronts and restaurant dumpster pads.

How a Woodstock quote works
- Managing several buildings? Take a picture of each one and text them all to 540-514-5916, or use the form, along with the addresses that are due.
- We can price most work straight from those pictures, free of charge. An extremely complex property gets an in-person look first.
- None of your tenants need to be home on wash day, so there is no unit-by-unit schedule to work out with them. Satisfaction guaranteed. If we missed anything, tell us and we'll come back and make it right.
